Pirates set to host 40th anniversary celebration of 1971 World Series Championship June 20-22

The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced the details of the 40th anniversary celebration of the 1971 World Series Championship team when the Pirates take on the Baltimore Orioles June 20 through June 22. The celebration will pay tribute to the Pirates' triumph over the Orioles to win its fourth World Championship title by honoring its players, manager, coaches and families from that season.

In addition to the celebrations, the Pirates are offering a special ticket package to commemorate the series:

  • $19.71 Special Offer - For $19.71 fans can purchase a ticket for Outfield Box seats (regularly priced at $20) for any game throughout the entire series vs. the Orioles and receive a 1971 commemorative Pirates t-shirt.
