The Kansas City Royals and Royals Charities are committed to being active members of the Kansas City community and region. Created in 2001, Royals Charities strives to support children, education, youth baseball/softball and military in and around the Kansas City area. The foundation accomplishes this mission through financial donations, as well as in-kind support, including memorabilia, tickets and publicity. Under the leadership of the Glass family, Royals Charities has donated more than $7 million since its inception.

Fans showed such a great interest in the 50/50 Friday, that we are excited to announce that we are going to offer the 50/50 Raffle every Royals home game. An in-stadium fundraiser from Royals Charities in which a lucky fan can win big! Staff will sell raffle tickets from the time gates open until the end of the sixth inning. One winning ticket will be selected with the winner taking home half of the evening's net proceeds. The other half will be donated to Royals Charities.

Royals Charities and Fox Sports Kansas City partnered for a special on-air auction, giving viewers the opportunity to bid on unique ballpark experiences or purchase an exclusive Royals ticket packages. Diamond of Dreams: Taking the Field for Royals Charities will be held on Thursday, June 20 on the field at Kauffman Stadium in 2013. The annual event features appearances from current and former Royals, a fabulous menu from local restaurants, an exclusive baseball silent auction, live music and a spectacular fireworks show with proceeds benefiting Royals Charities.

On Monday, August 19 fans will receive the opportunity to play golf with current and former Royals at the annual Royals Celebrity Golf Tournament. The event will feature a reception, awards program, and auction. Proceeds from the tournament, held at The National Golf Club of Kansas City, will benefit Royals Charities.

The grand walkway at Homeplate Gate C features moments in Royals history surrounded by personal messages from fans all over the country. Fans who ordered Legacy Bricks have secured their place in Royals history! A portion of the proceeds from the Royals Legacy Brick Program supports Royals Charities, benefiting children, education, and neighborhoods in need. The program has ended as of January 28, and bricks are no longer available for purchase.
Created in 2006, the Royalty Fields grant program is an ongoing Royals Charities effort that strives to improve baseball and softball facilities across the Midwest. Baseball and softball programs in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, Arkansas or South Dakota can apply for a Royalty Fields matching grant of up to $5,000 for major renovations.

Royals Charities hosted "Shirts Off Their Backs" on Saturday, September 21, giving fans the opportunity to win an autographed jersey from a Royals player. Throughout the game, volunteers sold $1 instant win scratch tickets. Following the game, winners were escorted to the field where they received a game-worn jersey directly from one of the Royals. Fans also had an opportunity to bid on one of the spots and secure their place on the field. Proceeds benefited a local Kansas City charity.
Royals Charities partnered with The Ali Kemp Educational Foundation to host a T.A.K.E. Defense self-defense class on the field at the ballpark on Saturday, September 14. The class was free-of-charge and open to all females ages 12 and older. More than 2,670 women have been educated in self-defense at the ballpark since Royals Charities first hosted the program in 2008.
