Stars on the move on busy Deadline Day
Days after Cliff Lee was dealt to the Phils, fellow former Cy Young winner Jake Peavy was traded to the White Sox. He was one of many big names moved at the Trade Deadline as Victor Martinez was dealt to Boston, Scott Rolen was traded to Cincinnati, Jarrod Washburn headed to Detroit and Orlando Cabrera was sent to Minnesota. 1B, Adam Dunn, WAS
Last year, Dunn was dealt from the Reds to the D-backs after the Trade Deadline in August, and it's possible the slugger could be moved in a waiver deal again. The Nationals are well out of the race and may want to recoup some of the cost of the two-year, $20 million deal they signed him to before this season.
LHP, Doug Davis, ARI
Set to become a free agent following this season, the veteran southpaw has pitched well all season and would be an attractive option for a rental down the stretch.
LHP, Erik Bedard, SEA
Bedard was placed on the disabled list days before the Trade Deadline. But he could find himself moved in a waiver deal as the Mariners might look to find a return with the southpaw eligible for free agency this offseason. August ushers in waiver deal options >
