Up next for the Reds: The Reds will travel south to Fort Myers, Fla., on Saturday to face the Red Sox at 1:05 p.m. ET. Right-hander Homer Bailey will make his fourth start of the Grapefruit League season for Cincinnati and will be followed by lefty Bill Bray, right-hander Jared Burton and righty Todd Coffey. Left-hander Jon Lester will make the start for Boston. Up next for the Pirates: The Pirates will head to Dunedin, Fla., on Saturday, when they will take on the Blue Jays for the second time this week. Toronto won Wednesday's meeting, 4-1. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m.Right-hander Ian Snell will increase his workload to five innings on Saturday, with Elmer Dessens, Matt Capps, Jonah Bayliss and Hector Carrasco each scheduled to pitch an inning of relief. The relief appearance will be the first this spring for Dessens, who has been bothered by back pain since camp opened.
Additionally, in order to get in his necessary work, lefty Phil Dumatrait will pitch two innings over at Pirate City on Saturday. As of Friday, Dumatrait was not sure whether he'd be pitching a simulated game or to Minor League hitters at batting practice.
