WASHINGTON -- Teammates Adam Jones and Steve Pearce were named co-American League Players of the Week on Monday.

Jones, who was named an AL starter in next week's All-Star Game, has a 10-game hitting streak and is batting .391 over the past week, with a double, a home run and four RBIs. The center fielder is coming off a weekend in Boston in which he went 5-for-14 with a walk and two runs scored. Jones is hitting .310/.334/.504 in 88 games this season.

Pearce has emerged as a force for the Orioles, earning an everyday role with his hot bat. He collected a career-high four hits on Thursday, and he hit three home runs in the first two games of last week's series against the Rangers -- homering in consecutive games for the second time this season. Pearce's 10 home runs and 30 RBIs are both career highs.
