Marimon fired five scoreless innings to win his Triple-A debut. The native of Colombia allowed two hits and a walk while striking out two. Aaron Brooks also made his Omaha debut, allowing three runs in the sixth. Christian Colon drove in two runs for the Storm Chasers. Matt Fields recorded a single and has hit safely in all nine games (.457, 16-for-35).

Frisco scored in the ninth, handing the Naturals a second loss in the series and fifth straight overall. 2012 second-round Draft pick Sam Selman made his Double-A debut, holding Frisco to an unearned run along with two hits and four walks over five innings. Jorge Bonifacio led Northwest Arkansas with two hits. Lane Adams scored the lone Naturals run on a walk to Jared Schlehuber.

Dziedzic and Sparkman combined for Wilmington's first shutout of 2014. Dziedzic worked six innings, striking out seven while scatttering four hits and a walk. Sparkman earned a three-inning save, fanning five and allowing one hit. Daniel Rockett's three-run triple put Wilmington on top in the fourth. He scored on a sac fly from Cam Gallagher. 2013 first-round Draft pick Hunter Dozier added an RBI single.

Lexington won a second straight at West Virginia. Tenuta struck out six, while holding the Power to a run on four hits and two walks over five innings. Taylor put the Legends ahead for good with a two-run homer in the fourth. Michael Antonio doubled twice, singled, drove in a run and scored twice. Fred Ford also had two doubles and a single to go with an RBI.
