Yost wins challenge to prevent White Sox run
Call overturned as Aoki nabs Eaton on close play at plate
CHICAGO -- Royals manager Ned Yost won a challenge late in Saturday's game against the White Sox, which kept Chicago from getting on the board.
With one out and two on, Dayan Viciedo lined a base hit to right field off Aaron Crow and Adam Eaton headed for home. Nori Aoki came up firing and threw a one-hop strike to Salvador Perez, who applied the tag on Eaton as he dove headfirst for the plate.
Eaton was initially called safe, and after a two-minute, six-second review, the call was overturned. Alexei Ramirez lined out to third to end the inning, keeping the shutout alive.
