LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers third baseman Juan Uribe began an injury rehab assignment Thursday night, going 2-for-4 as designated hitter for Class A Rancho Cucamonga.
Uribe, who has missed the last six weeks with a strained right hamstring muscle, doubled, scored twice and struck out. He is expected to play third base Friday and Saturday before a decision is made to activate him for the trip to Kansas City.
Uribe was hitting .303 when injured. Justin Turner, Chone Figgins and no-hitter hero Miguel Rojas have filled in at third base during Uribe's absence.
