The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Minnesota Twins Minor League right-handed pitcher Adrian Salcedo has received an 80-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Tamoxifen, a performance-enhancing substance, and Heptaminol, a stimulant, both of which are in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz has received a one-game suspension and an undisclosed fine for making contact with Umpire John Tumpane during the bottom of the fifth inning of the Club's Sunday, April 19th game against the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park.
