Pittsburgh Pirates left fielder Jason Bay, who recorded a .950 slugging percentage, has been named Bank of America Presents the National League Player of the Week for the period ending May 27th. Bank of America, the Official Bank of Major League Baseball, is the presenting sponsor of the American League and National League Player of the Week Awards, which reflect the company's long-standing tradition of recognizing achievements that inspire us all to seize opportunities to perform at our very best.

Jason hit .500 (10-20), and recorded an on-base percentage of .571. He drove in 10 runs (second in the NL), scored six runs, and collected three doubles. Jason had back-to-back three-RBI games at Cincinnati on Saturday, May 26th and Sunday, May 27th.
