The Pittsburgh Pirates today unveiled renderings of the new restaurant entertainment space located above PNC Park's left field bleachers. The club partnered with ARAMARK to transform the new space formerly occupied by Outback Steakhouse into an exciting gameday dining and bar option for all fans with a ticket and a non-gameday event and entertainment destination. The new left field restaurant, which has not yet been named, will offer a casual dining and sports bar atmosphere with wait service and will be open to all ticket holders before, during and after games beginning with the Pirates' home opener on April 7 at 1:35 p.m. against the Chicago Cubs.

The completely renovated space occupies approximately 8,000 square feet and features an open floor plan with table seating for more than 215 fans, a full-service bar with 25 stools embroidered with the Pirates gold "P" logo and a lounge chair seating area. Twenty flat screen HD televisions, including two 70-inch flat screens, will ensure fans don't miss any of the game action.

Newly installed retractable glass doors will for the first time open the space to PNC Park, bringing the openair, game environment to the fans enjoying the space. The restaurant will also feature a 1,000 square foot outdoor patio overlooking left-center field, the Riverwalk and the Allegheny River, complete with a full bar, table seating for more than 100 fans and a canopy covering to shade the area from the sun.

All fans in the ballpark will be able to access the bar and restaurant from the newly installed stairs located just inside the Center Field Gate, through the entrance on Federal Street near the Willie Stargell gate, across the pedestrian bridge adjacent to the second floor of the Pirates Outfitters store and through the left field bleachers.

"It is our responsibility to ensure that Pittsburgh remains home to the Best Ballpark in America, therefore we are constantly looking for ways to improve upon PNC Park," said Pirates President Frank Coonelly. "Opening up this previously exclusive area of the ballpark to all ticket holders and opening the space to the sounds, smell and feel of the ballpark will enhance the game day experience and provide our fans with another outstanding entertainment option before, during and after Pirate games."

The newly renovated space, which was designed by Integrity Design and built by A. Martini & Company, will also feature a 16 by 16 foot stage and a high performance sound system that will enable the restaurant to play host to musical-entertainment acts and open to the public on non-Pirates game days in the future. The space is also available to host private events, including weddings, private parties, meetings and more.
