20th annual PirateFest admission tickets on sale Friday, December 4
2010 individual game tickets will be on sale at PirateFest for the first time since 2000
tickets for any Major League Baseball game

The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced that tickets for their annual PirateFest will go on sale on Friday, December 4 at 10 a.m., which will once again take place at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh.  The event will begin on Friday, January 29 and run through Sunday, January 31, 2010.  This year marks the 20th anniversary for the annual three-day winter carnival.

PirateFest is a giant indoor baseball carnival for the entire family featuring live events, free autograph sessions, prizes, a celebration of the 1960 World Series, youth baseball clinics and much more.  Current and former Pirates are scheduled to attend including Andrew McCutchen, Paul Maholm, Andy LaRoche and Hall of Famer Bill Mazeroski.

This year, fans who attend PirateFest will have the opportunity to purchase individual game tickets to any Pirates home game during the 2010 season.   This will mark the first time single game tickets will be available for purchase this far in advance of the regular season since 2000. Single game tickets have not gone on sale before the month of March since that time.  Tickets will also be on sale by calling 1-800-BUY-BUCS or via the internet at beginning on Saturday, January 30 at 10 a.m. during PirateFest weekend.

PirateFest 2010 will feature expanded hours to give fans a greater opportunity to enjoy the festivities.   Hours for PirateFest 2010 are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m on Friday, January 29; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 30 and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 31.

Admission prices are $12.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids 14 and under.  PirateFest 2010 tickets can be purchased online here at, by calling 1-800-BUY-BUCS or visiting the box office at PNC Park.

Complete PirateFest autograph schedules, a final list of players in attendance and other details will be released in January.
