Pirates and FSN Pittsburgh partner to hold third annual "Pirates Charities on-FSN Auction" during June 17 telecast

The Pittsburgh Pirates and Pirates Charities announced today, in conjunction with FSN Pittsburgh, that they will hold the third annual "Pirates Charities On-FSN Auction" on Thursday, June 17 when the Pirates take on the Chicago White Sox at 7:05 p.m. Proceeds raised during the auction will be used to benefit area youth through several programs and initiatives driven by Pirates Charities. The telecast will showcase programs supported by Pirates Charities, including the West Penn Hospital Summer Camp for Burned Children, the "Fields for Kids" matching grant program, Gilda's Club of Western Pennsylvania and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia.
FSN's Rob King will host the on-air auction live from the Trib Total Media Hall of Fame Club inside PNC Park. In addition, a live phone bank, which will be staffed by Pirates celebrities, will be stationed inside the Trib Total Media Hall of Fame Club to take live bids.
During the game on June 17, fans will have the opportunity to bid on seven featured premium experiences and one featured premium item – a Bill Mazeroski "Night Stand" Canvas Print by pop artist Burton Morris, which will be on display inside the Trib Total Media Hall of Fame Club. Featured premium experiences include a private pitching session with Pirates pitcher Paul Maholm* and Pitching Coach Joe Kerrigan, a VIP trip to Pirates Spring Training in beautiful Bradenton, Florida and an all-access backstage tour with FSN during a Pirates telecast. Additional premium packages are as follows:
- PNC Park VIP Experience
- Run in the Great Pittsburgh Pierogie Race
- Kids "Take the Field" Experience
- Softball Game and Picnic on the field at PNC Park

The auction will start with FSN's Trib Total Media Pirates Pregame show at 6:30 p.m. and end immediately following the last out of the seventh inning. Fans will be able to place bids by calling (412) 325-4888 or by visiting the Trib Total Media Hall of Fame Club in person. The winner of each item will be announced immediately following the game on FSN's AGH Sports Medicine Pirates Postgame show.
Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase VIP Bags for $100 each. Each bag will include an autographed item, Pirates baseball tickets, Pirates merchandise and valuable coupons. Select bags will also randomly include vouchers for items such as Sony Bravia 40"e; HD LCD TV, a chance to be "Fan of the Game" and deliver the Pirates lineup card, an airline voucher for one round trip ticket and a variety of autographed items by Pittsburgh Pirates players.
Fans can purchase VIP Bags in person at the Trib Total Media Hall of Fame Club beginning at 4:30 p.m. or by calling 412-325-4888. Fans in the ballpark can also place bids on the eight featured premium items beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the Trib Total Media Hall of Fame Club.
