“Take The Fort to School” set to launch on Sunday, March 31

The Pirates and Trib Total Media today announced their partnership in the “Take The Fort to School” program scheduled to take place during the early part of the 2013 season.
Beginning on Sunday, March 31, parents can enter online only at pirates.com/TakeForttoSchool for an opportunity to have Pirates catcher Michael McKenry visit their child’s school this school year. Parents are asked to enter for their children as you must be 18 years or older to submit an online entry.
The program’s title comes from McKenry’s nickname “The Fort,” as he has been affectionately known by Pittsburgh fans since his debut in a Bucs uniform in 2011.
The “Take the Fort to School, presented by Trib Total Media” is open to all residents in the greater Pittsburgh area. One winner will be chosen from the online sweepstakes and a date for McKenry to visit their child’s school will be agreed upon at that time.
For an opportunity to enter the “Take the Fort to School, presented by Trib Total Media” and for more information fans are encouraged to visit pirates.com/TakeForttoSchool beginning Sunday, March 31 (one entry per person).
