Abreu sets off fireworks display

Bobby Abreu celebrated his All-Star berth with a bang, crushing a grand slam to lead an 18-hit outburst. Pat Burrell, David Bell, Jason Michaels and Ryan Howard added RBIs to back Cory Lidle, who limited the Pirates to just one run over seven innings.

The Pirates got off to a good start on the Fourth of July, taking a 1-0 lead on Rob Mackowiak's RBI double in the second, but things turned sour after that. In four-plus innings, Dave Williams yielded eight runs on eight hits, and the Bucs couldn't recover.
