For six innings on Saturday night, the Mets and Pirates were locked in a spirited tussle. In the seventh, the Bucs touched up the Mets' bullpen for seven runs, swiftly and suddenly taking the wind of the New Yorkers' sails.

The Pirates scored early and often in rolling over the Mets on Saturday. After New York had rallied to tie the game, the Bucs came right back to take a one-run lead in the sixth and then put the game away for good in the seventh.
