5 2/3 innings, but he then allowed a two-run homer to Carlos Beltran that ultimately decided Game 1 of the NLCS. The Cardinals managed just four hits in the shutout.

Glavine continues mastery

Tom Glavine tossed seven shutout innings and has not allowed a run in 13 frames this postseason, while Carlos Beltran supported him with a two-run homer in the sixth that broke a scoreless tie and helped the Mets to a win in Game 1 of the NLCS.
