Fowler, Young Jr. to serve as co-hosts of fundraising 'Bowling Bash' in Denver
Rockies fans have chance to bowl against Fowler, Young and teammates
NEW YORK -- Colorado Rockies players, including co-hosts Dexter Fowler and Eric Young Jr., will trade in their cleats for bowling shoes when the Major League Baseball Players Trust hosts a fundraising All-Star Bowling Bash at Denver's Punch Bowl Social on Thursday, June 13, from 6-9 p.m. local time.
Rockies fans, and bowlers in general, are encouraged to enter a team in the Bowling Bash to win a chance to bowl for local bragging rights against a team featuring Fowler, Young and some of their teammates. Individual bowlers and non-bowling spectators are also welcome to join the Bash. Each bowling team receives one autographed souvenir bowling pin, while team and individual bowlers will compete for prizes. All in attendance will enjoy a free dinner, open bar and a commemorative T-shirt.
Radio station KOA, AM 850, is a proud supporter of the Players Trust's All-Star Bowling Bash, and the Andy Lindahl show will broadcast live from the Bash between the hours of 7-10 p.m. Listeners of KOA will have the chance to win autographed bowling pins and spectator tickets in the weeks leading up to the event.
Team entry fee is $3,600, individual bowler fee is $600 and non-bowling spectator tickets are $250, portions of which are tax deductible.
