2013 Extraordinary Scholar of the Month Contest

The Phillies are looking for high school students who are making a difference in their community while maintaining good grades (3.0 GPA or higher, B Average or higher or equivalent) in the classroom. If you are a current high school sophomore or junior (during the 2012/13 school year) tell us in a 500 or less word essay how you are having a positive impact on their community by exercising social justice and responsibility and you could be honored as a Phillies Extraordinary Scholar, presented by Cabrini College, before a game at Citizens Bank Park.

 Student Submission
I am 18 years or older. I am a sophomore or junior in high school with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, a "B" average or higher, or the equivalent.
 Parent Permission for Student Submission
I am 18 years or older. I am the parent or legal guardian of a sophomore or junior in high school who is between the ages of 14-17 years with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, a "B" average or higher, or the equivalent. I give my child or legal ward permission to enter the Contest. Please note: the submission must be the original work of the student and not of the parent or guardian.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Enter by 5 p.m. ET on June 28, 2013. Void where prohibited. Twelve (12) prizes will be awarded. Open to legal residents of Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania who are either eighteen (18) years of age or older (or between fourteen (14) and seventeen (17) years of age with the permission of the parent or legal guardian) and enrolled in their sophomore or junior year of high school (or equivalent class year enrollment) with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or a grade average of "B" (or equivalent grade) or higher at the time of entry. All winners will be contacted via e-mail and/or telephone, and must accept the prize via return e-mail within three (3) days. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
