The 5th annual Bowling with the Bucs fundraiser took place on Sunday, May 31st at AMF Noble Manor Lanes in Crafton. The event offered fans the opportunity to meet and bowl with their favorite Pirates players and celebrities. More than $22,000 was raised for Pirates Charities and the Pittsburgh Project!
32 Pirates players, coaches and broadcasters, as well as Pirates President Frank Coonelly, put on their bowling shirts and shoes for the event. Throughout the evening, plenty of strikes were thrown, and fans went home happy after getting to meet, talk with and get autographs from their favorite Pittsburgh Pirates.
Third Base Coach Tony Beasley was one of 32 Pirates celebrities on hand for the event.
The winning team of the first tournament was team Trib Total Media and Pirates Infield Coach Perry Hill.
The winning team of the second tournament were Pirates fans Sean Doyle, Brian Bogdan, Joe Forte and Jared Macerelli, along with Pirates third baseman Andy LaRoche.
