The Pittsburgh Pirates are partnering with Mylan Specialty L.P. to host Allergy Awareness Night at PNC Park on Friday, May 31. More than 12 million Americans have food allergies, the most common cause of life-threatening allergic reactions, or anaphylaxis. Moreover, eight percent of children in the U.S. - about one out of 13 - suffer from a food allergy.
The Pirates have reserved The Deck for fans - along with their families and friends - affected by life-threatening peanut allergies. The Pirates will also be providing tips throughout the game to help all fans be more aware of life-threatening allergic reactions.
